Veiling Reid 1916, p. 15, nr. 150: 'C. de Visscher. Portrait of a Lady, seated with her hands folded, crayon and wash, on vellum, highly finished, signed'; Veiling Wellesley 1920, p. 266, nr. 815 met afb.: 'Cornelis de Visscher. A Lady, name unknown. Seated, three-quarter length, viewed to the left, eyes looking to the right. She is dressed in striped embroidered bodice and overskirt of dark material, with wide cap-like collar edged with lace and secured over the bosom, with a looped rosette, wide cuffs. She wears a triple pearl necklace and bracelets with clusters of pearls in her ears. Her jewelled hands, which rest in her lap, hold a fan with both strings; her hair is brushed back from the forehead and confined in a jewelled cap set well back on her head. A column with a curtain and tassel in the background to the left. The artist's signature is on the back of the chair. Plumbago. Rectangular, 9 by 12 in. On vellum. Signed.
